Alex started his 35 years in the industry working for Schlumberger in the Indonesian jungle. Subsequently he spent 10 years with BP, training initially as a Drilling engineer, predominantly in the North Sea. An acknowledged expert in M&A and corporate planning, Alex has worked for various independents including Premier Oil and Melrose Energy where he ran a 100 well per year drilling program in the Permian Basin. His association with Latin America began more than 10 years ago when he raised $100mill private equity funding for Pacifica in Colombia.

Jorge is a leading figure in the Peruvian energy sector and we at Pacifica are thrilled to be working with him. Jorge is founder and leader of Energy Services, Upland Oil & Gas, and Clean Energy del Peru. Companies which provide a range of energy related services including principally the supply of compressed natural gas to commercial and residential customers, as well as supplying logistic services in remote jungle areas to various companies including Mobil, Exxon, and Pluspetrol. Operating out of bases across Peru, Jorge and his team have an unparalleled knowledge of jungle operations and the issues, challenges, and opportunities of working in collaboration with jungle communities.

Alan is highly experienced oil and gas Finance Director who initially worked at LASMO for 13 years in various finance roles in the UK and overseas including Pakistan and Libya. In his 35 year career in the industry he has subsequently worked for numerous independents including Intrepid Energy, Sterling Energy and Setanta Energy. At Sterling and Setanta, Alan was responsible for managing the financial aspects of the licence contracts with NOCs in Mauritania and Gabon. Most recently he was Director of Finance and Administration at Gulfsands Petroleum Plc based in London with international interests.

Geology & Geophysics
Mark is a highly experienced geologist and geophysicist. During his more than 35 year career Mark spent 18 years at Hess / Amerada Hess, latterly as Exploration Manager for Europe. During this time he was responsible for seismic survey planning and acquisition, onshore and offshore, seismic processing supervision, seismic interpretation, asset management and new venture evaluations. His seismic acquisition experience includes work in highly sensitive areas of the North Sea and Greenland amongst others. He was instrumental in bringing Hess into Block 64 in Peru.
Kevin O'Donnell

As Vice President Worldwide Drilling for Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation from 2005 to 2011, Kevin was responsible for over 15 drilling groups and 600 staff, drilling approximately 1400 wells in the US, Latin America and the Middle East. In 2011, Kevin joined Statoil to head up the Operations Support Group with responsibility for drilling US onshore unconventional wells. Kevin has a distinguished history as a Drilling Manager including in 2001 becoming Manager Drilling Ventures Unocal in order to capitalise on the industry leading deepwater GOM drilling costs that his team had achieved.

Jungle Operations
Lorne as a professional engineer started his 35 year career in the Western Canadian basin progressing from production engineering and well optimization and advancing into drilling management of many new technology wells in Canada. After twenty years he moved to directing operations in global settings. He has coordinated new country entries and successfully delivered projects in sensitive areas of security and environment with many projects involving multi-hundred million US$ budgets. Many of these countries involved success in very challenging logistical and technical approaches in remote areas varying from the Sahara desert to the remote reaches of the Amazon jungle. He has demonstrated new approaches and success in Sudan, Algeria, Peru (including Block 64 as Operations Manager for Talisman until 2010), Colombia, Romania, and Iraq.
